In the holy trinity of Gods, Lord Brahma is said to be the creator, Lord Vishnu is the preserver & protector and Lord Shiva is the destroyer of evil.

It is believed that whenever there is evil on Earth, Lord Vishnu reincarnates himself in his avataar to restore order. Till now, Lord Vishnu has taken nine avataars and it is believed that the tenth avataar will come at the end of kalyug. There is another interesting correlation which links how the order of Lord Vishnu’s Dashaavataar is linked to the cycle of human evolution.
